How to customize your emails

Use contact properties to humanize your emails!

Autoresponders and automated emails are renowned for their impersonal nature, despite the famous “Hello ‘First name’”.

And for good reason! They have become an industry standard and we use them without even thinking about it.

To help you adopt an approach that is more warm and welcoming to your leads, we have decided to write a guide on using “contact properties” in your emails in order to give them a more “human” feel.

Let’s look at how to add properties and use them in your emails. Afterwards, we’ll discuss the most popular fields.

In order to access this 100% customizable list, you’ll have to first create your “contact properties”. After signing in to the application (https://app.leadfox.co), go to the left-hand menu: Contacts > Properties.

Within this interface, you will be able to add or edit any properties you’d like.

Here are the basic fields:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email address
  • Website
  • Number of contacts
  • Language

You will then go to the tool that you would like to create. In the text toolbar, you will have the option to add a “contact property”.

 

 

This icon will allow you to insert contact properties into your texts. Naturally, you will have had to configure these fields beforehand. It is also important that you fill these fields out for all of your contacts. Otherwise, there will be a blank space in your text!

  • Size
  • Number of employees
  • Title
  • Annual budget
  • Competing tool(s)
  • Phone

These properties can not only help you segment your list, but also give you the leverage you need to have a more human connection with each lead!
